Welcome to Venturex
Venturex Resources Limited is a resources company based in Perth, Western Australia, and listed on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX Code: VXR). Venturex aims to deliver superior value to its shareholders by expanding the cash flow from its existing partnership with Blackrock on their SX/EW plant at Whim Creek and identifying near term production opportunities at its two advanced copper zinc Projects located close to Port Hedland in the Pilbara region of Western Australia that can be achieved in today's market. The ultimate aim is to become a significant copper-zinc producer through the development of its green-fields Sulphur Springs Copper Zinc Project.
Venturex negotiated an extension of the access agreement with private company Blackrock Metals to operate their SXEW plant to recover 1400 tonnes of copper metal per annum from the residual heap leach dumps at Whim Creek until the end of 2018 . Under the revised contract Venturex's free carried net profit interest increased from 15% to 30% in 2016 and then to 49% from 2017 onwards. Venturex received $548,000 from this interest in the 2015 calendar year. For more information on this operation click here.
Venturex recognises that the current market conditions are not conducive to the immediate development of these projects. Venturex is therefore currently focussed on the following:
Renewing the existing environmental permit for the Sulphur Springs mine to reflect the mine plan and reversion to conventional tailings disposal proposed in the optimisation study. This will restore the mine to “shovel ready” status;
Re-invigorating exploration at the brown-fields Whim Creek Project aimed at extending the existing Resources and testing the multiple ore horizons that are only partially tested; and
Working with Blackrock Metals to identify low capital cost options to expand and extend their operations to provide an enhanced cash flow to Venturex
